DESCRIPTION
Rare architectural wallpaper cited and discussed from the Shelburne by Carlisle pp 180-81. She recorded the design as “unidentified chapel and buildings.” Additional research using AI and other resources suggests that this was possibly a reimagination (with modifications) or imaginative recombination of Stoughton Hall and Holden chapel on Harvard campus circa 1830. CONDITION: Well used with a deep history of repairs and multiple imperfections as shown.
