DESCRIPTION
Large square composition with tulips with swag and bow-tie border. All early fabric with seed/cotton batting— all hand sewing. Largest genuine early American quilt we’ve ever seen. Would fit a king size bed. Shown insitu on a queen-size bed. Ex textile collection of California author/collector Louise A. Veninga, co-founder of the Zaracor flag collection (see—https://www.flagcollection.com/index.php).
CONDITION: Several tatty patches show a history of meticulous needlework repairs. Some old fold stains on obverse. Top side is remarkably clear and free of stains or discoloration.
