Vibrant composition with proportionally large watermelon amid strawberries, grapes, cherries, pears, cantaloupe. 19th century gold frame possibly original. Pulpy backboard is original to the frame. Early newspaper fragment bears date of 1828 and references Tennessee.
CONDITION
Very good and original. Recently cleaned, de-acidified, and professionally conserved with acid-free mount.
