Identical scene to a slightly smaller plate from this estate collection (ebay #3798542196621) with an old jelly label identifying the scene as “Lawrence House, Boston” which might refer to prominent Boston citizen Amos Lawrence. Federal house and steeple appear to be American but I can find no comps for this scene. Further research is warranted.
