DESCRIPTION
The so-called "clock face" Tafrish medallion-- always 16 points and always reiterated in the corners. Tafrish are rare and among the finest Hamadan area village pieces. Sometimes mistaken for Malayers because of the finer knotting. This one is the finest example we have ever come across. Not just the quality of weave but the quality of wool and lovely natural dyes. Gorgeous rug.

CONDITION
Some attrition at one end. Otherwise fine full pile all over with no exposed foundation and no significant repairs.
