American Scene Lafayette Blue Staffordshire Creamer c. 1825

0.00

SIZE
4 1/4  in. tall

DESCRIPTION
The Lafayette at Franklin's tomb pieces were made by Enoch Wood 1825-30  to commemorate Lafayette's return visit in 1824. Among the various teawares I have seen in this design I think the creamers might be the rarest of forms. What a beauty!

CONDITION
This piece has had some restoration at tip of spout-- probably a. chip.  There is hairline across the bottom and another less visible in the body. Piece is sturdy and rings firm. Understand this is imperfect but priced accordingly.
